The act of rocking has many benefits. For starters, it releases endorphins which help boost your mood and reduce stress. It can move you into a state of calm and ease by engaging your parasympathetic nervous system. Another benefit of rocking is that it stimulates your vestibular system. Physically, we can feel our body move while our visual senses adapt to the changing perspectives. Paired together, our body begins to recognize and adjust to the rhythmic motion as we to develop our sense of balance.
