The Root energy center is situated at the very base of the spine—deep in the pelvic floor and perineum—in the center of the body. The Sacral energy center is in the lower abdomen above the pubic bone and in front of the sacrum. In this GYROKINESIS® practice we identify this place as the Seed Center. Root energy is vital in informing the physical and psychological foundations for our life, while Sacral energy reflects our instinctual need to develop our personality. More succinctly, our Root energy represents our feeling of grounding and Sacral energy our creativity. When these energy centers are balanced and functioning properly we feel present and sense the relationship with our selves as harmonious, pleasureful and nurturing.
